We had an amazing experience working with Matt, Marlon and the team at South Downs Marquees! From the planning with Matt, on-site to find the perfect location of our beautiful sail tent and being so flexible to make sure we could arrange tables how we wanted, to fit all guest and band. The fairy lights around the sail tent and pathway also looked stunning. Our guests loved our sail tent and it was perfect inside and out. We had proper English weather, so we really got good use of the tent for both our reception drinks, wedding breakfast and a fun dancefloor. Can’t recommend SD Marquees enough!

Matt and his team were fabulous from start to finish. 100% professional, friendly, accommodating, reassuring, flexible, hard-working, reliable and the finished product was just beautiful. Matt did several site visits and sorted out various potential and actual challenges at our garden venue. Lots of great suggestions and nothing was too much trouble. It was also noticeable what a happy team Matt has around him. Matt also helped provide the bar, furniture, loos, festoon lighting on poles, lighting trees, etc, etc. T

We cannot recommend Matt and the team at South Downs Marquees highly enough. From the start to finish, they were an absolute joy to work with and always went the extra mile - whether it was managing to put up a huge sailcloth tent in some serious wind or being incredibly thoughtful with all the extra touches, it created the most stunning venue for our wedding. All of our guests could not believe how beautiful it was.

We feel so lucky to have worked with Matt to put the whole event together over the last several months. He always made us feel like there was no problem too big and it was amazing how well they worked together with Jacaranda - everything was so smooth and easy.

We had booked with South Downs Marquees for our wedding, planned for June 2026. Unfortunately, we had a nightmare with the venue going into liquidation, meaning we had to cancel and completely change our plans.

Throughout this, Ash and team couldn't have been any kinder or more supportive. They were very sympathetic, giving us time, space and suggestions for new venues.

Though we ultimately had to cancel, we really appreciated the way they handled the situation and would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for marquee hire in the area!

We highly recommend Matt and his team at South Downs Marquees! For our wedding at Bignor Park last month, we had a beautiful clearspan marquee for the ceremony space on the Greek Loggia and a bespoke stretch canopy in the Quadrangle for the wedding breakfast. South Downs also provided all the trestle tables and chairs for the wedding breakfast, festoon lights for the courtyard, and fairy lights for the Coach Store, where the band was set up. This was all completed on the Thursday setup day already, which was so helpful.

At the wedding, we were having the best time dancing that we didn't realise until seeing photos the next day that the fairy lights had been turned off in the evening. For future wedding couples, a tip to perhaps have someone from the bridal party on hand to oversee this!
